The Lakeland University men's basketball team takes a break from Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference play when it returns to the court Tuesday night as Silver Lake College makes the trip down from Manitowoc for a 7 p.m. tip-off at the Moose & Dona Woltzen Gymnasium.
The Muskies (5-2 overall) come in on a four-game winning streak and will look remain undefeated all-time against the Lakers. Lakeland has defeated Silver Lake each of the last 10 years and is 11-0 all-time against the school from 25 minutes away.
The Muskies in their last game shot poorly but still found a way to defeat Marian 73-69 on Saturday at home. Lakeland made just 33.9% of its shots but made 24 of 28 shots from the free throw line (85.7%), including its first 20.

Jr.-Chicago, Ill.) led the team with 23 points including a 14-for-15 performance from the line.Â
Silver Lake (2-10 overall), an independent that competes in the NAIA, has been idle for over a week since a tough 96-94 loss at UW-Stout. The Blue Devils made a three-pointer with 8.8 seconds left for the winning points, spoiling the Lakers' comeback from a 15-point deficit late in the first half. Byron Dean Jr scored 30 points and all five starters scored in double figures as the Lakers shot 52.9% as a team.
The teams have one common opponent, as Lakeland defeated Lawrence 88-81 in its season opener on Nov. 15, while Silver Lake lost a close 81-79 decision to the Vikings on the road 12 days later on Nov. 27.
