The Lakeland University men's basketball squad again received team and individual honors when National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) released its academic awards for the 2025-26 school year last week.
The Muskies collectively received the NABC Team Academic Excellence Award, which recognizes men's basketball programs that completed the 2025-26 academic year with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher, receiving the honor for the third straight year

R.J. Hines Jr. (
Gainesville, Fla.),
Asanjai Hunter (
Racine, Wis.),
Peyton Mrotek (
Luxemburg, Wis.) and
Tim Ward (
Plainfield, Ill.) all were named to the NABC Honors Court for their academic achievements. Cornell, Dillon, Hunter, Mrotek and Ward were all seniors on this past year's team while Braun and Hines were juniors.
The NABC Honors Court includes junior, senior and graduate student men's basketball players who finished the 2025-26 year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher. The NABC's academic awards include honorees from all levels of college basketball.
Over 2,300 players earned spots on the NABC Honors Court and nearly 400 programs received NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards for 2025-26. A full list of Honors Court recipients is available by
