MILWAUKEE – Juan Serna notched a hat trick for Wisconsin Lutheran College and the Lakeland University men's soccer team was defeated 10-0 Wednesday night in its Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference opener.
The Warriors scored five times in each half and the Muskies dropped their fourth straight match. Lakeland is now 3-5 overall while WLC improved to 2-5 on the season.
Serna scored goals in the 25th, 57th and 83rd minutes. K.J. McNealy also scored twice and Noah Hernandez added two assists.
Wisconsin Lutheran outshot Lakeland 30-6.
Ryoto Kinoshita (
Jr.-Kanagawa, Japan) led the Muskies' attack with two shot attempts and the team's lone two shots on goal.
Tyson Carter (
Fr.-Yakima, Wash.) made three saves and
Aaron Smith (
Fr.-Lake Geneva, Wis.) also added one save in goal for Lakeland.
The Muskies are back on the field Saturday when they travel to face Concordia University Chicago at 4 p.m. in River Forest, Ill.
