Series history: The Muskies and Green Knights share a long history dating all the way back to both programs' first years of competition in 1974. All-time records are incomplete, but St. Norbert has held the upper hand in the series through much of its known history, including a 19-9 lead in matches played since 1990. Lakeland won the most recent matchup, though, taking a four-set victory on the road in De Pere on Nov. 2, 2019. The Green Knights' most recent win over Lakeland came the year before with a four-set win in a match played Nov. 27, 2018 on a neutral floor at Edgewood College in Madison. The teams had played every year from 2011-19 until schedule disruptions due to the COVID-19 pandemic resulted in the cancellation of their match last year.

Lakeland last time out: Lost at MSOE 3-2 Tuesday
The Muskies fell to the Raiders in five sets for the second time this calendar year, with Milwaukee School of Engineering posting a 20-25, 25-8, 25-21, 17-25, 15-10 victory in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference match. With injuries continuing to hammer the starting lineup and opportunities abounding for young players, Lakeland received career highs from a trio including Hailey DeGrave finishing with 16 kills. Isabella Westerholm also set a career high with 11 kills, Kelly Swope also added 11 kills and Faith Spannbauer added a career-best eight kills. The match came down to a deciding fifth set and the Muskies never led as MSOE built a six-point lead and then closed the match with the final three points.

St. Norbert last time out: Defeated Concordia Chicago 3-0 last Saturday
The Green Knights had an easy time of it at home against the Cougars with a 25-15, 25-18, 25-13 win. Grace Baumann delivered 17 kills, 18 digs and five service aces, Brooke Clement also finished with eight kills and Liz Maastricht added 17 digs and three aces. St. Norbert hit a very solid .290 as a team with 41 kills and just 12 errors and also added 11 service aces to win its third straight in NACC play.

About the Green Knights: St. Norbert is in its first year in the NACC, coming over from the Midwest Conference where it won 12 championships in its 36 years of play. Like Lakeland, the Green Knights played a brutal early-season schedule and started 0-6, but since they've defeated a trio of Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference teams-including nationally ranked UW-Eau Claire-and are just one match out of the lead in the NACC standings.

Welcome to the club: Sydney Pingitore became the 15th player in Lakeland program history to reach 1,000 digs on Tuesday, doing so late in the match at MSOE. Pingitore enters tonight with 1,004 career digs and most recently passed Taylor Levitt (962 digs from 2013-16) for 15th on the Muskies' all-time list. Next on the list is Theresa Falk, who totaled 1,029 digs from 1999-2002.
