Series history: Lakeland and Wisconsin Lutheran are long-time adversaries in women's volleyball with a series going back at least as far as 1980. Records are incomplete, but in matchups documented in Lakeland record books the Muskies hold a 41-22 lead in the series. Lakeland won last year's meeting in Milwaukee in four sets, dropping the first set before prevailing 21-25, 25-22, 25-14, 25-19. The Warriors have  been a thorn in the Muskies' side in recent years, having won five of six before last year, including most recently a five-set win at WLC on Nov. 7, 2024 where the Warriors won the final three sets for a 24-26, 17-25, 25-23, 25-23, 15-8 win. Lakeland won the last meeting at the Moose & Dona Woltzen Gymnasium Nov. 2, 2023, losing the first set before prevailing 21-25, 25-13, 25-16, 25-21.

Lakeland last time out: Defeated Concordia Wisconsin 3-2 Saturday
The Muskies continued to pass the test in five-set matches in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference play, defeating the Falcons 14-25, 25-20, 25-22, 21-25, 15-8. Lakeland won in five sets for the second time in three days and the third time in its last four matches, all against conference opponents. The Muskies posted a very solid .301 hitting percentage in the match and had a trio of big hitters with Maleigha Kovalaske (20 kills), Samya Hughes (16) and Emily Hansen (15). Lakeland defeated Concordia in the regular season in five sets for the third straight year and solidified its hold on third place in the NACC while also moving closer to clinching a spot in the NACC Tournament.

Including a five-set win at Illinois Tech last Thursday, the Muskies' two wins last week also netted league honors as Kovalaske was named the NACC Offensive Player of the Week and Ryan Figi was tabbed as the NACC Defensive Player of the Week. Both won conference weekly awards for the first time in their careers.

Wisconsin Lutheran last time out: Defeated Dominican 3-0 Saturday
The Warriors breezed to victory over the Stars, sweeping to a 25-21, 25-10, 25-16 win. Ireland Zyzo totaled nine kills, Alyssa Koval added eight kills and in all a total of sixteen players saw the court for WLC against hapless Dominican, which dropped to 0-23 on the season. The win came after Lutheran just missed in a five-set loss at MSOE last Thursday and continued a trend of alternating wins and losses in the month of October, since a sweep of Rockford on Oct. 2.

The Warriors are in the hunt for a top-four finish in the NACC standings, with their 5-3 league record currently good for a tie with Illinois Tech for fifth and also just one loss behind third-place Lakeland (7-2) in the loss column.
