Carloas Campos scored 29 points to lead all scorers and Jequan Pegeese finished with seven points, seven rebounds and six assists off the bench. The series between the Muskies and Lions dates back to Jan. 27, 2001, when Lakeland edged Finlandia 55-54 at home in the first meeting, and the teams have almost every season-11 of the last 12 years-since 2008-09. The Lions' last win in the series was a 77-57 victory at the Moose & Dona Woltzen Gymnasium on Nov. 24, 2009.

Lakeland last time out: Lost at Wisconsin Lutheran 104-91 Saturday
The Muskies lost their second game in two days to the Warriors, who used prolific scoring runs in both contest to make their move. WLC's rush on Saturday included 41 points in a span of just over 10 minutes to close the first half as the Muskies' early 11-point lead turned into an eight-point deficit at the half. Lakeland got back within three early in the second half but got no closer as Lutheran led by as many as 20 points late. Earl Lewis scored 21 points off the bench and led five scoring in double figures for the Muskies, who shot 53.2% as a team but surrendered 25 points off turnovers and 28 second chance points. Lakeland dropped to 3-3 in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference play and is stepping out of NACC play to take on Finlandia for the team's third non-conference game of the season.

Finlandia last time out: Lost at Coe (Iowa) 112-62 Sunday
The Lions lost their third straight game after being blitzed early by the Kohawks, who built a 40-9 lead just over 12 minutes into the game. Coe shot a blazing 62.7% from the field while Finlandia lost the second game of a trip to Iowa, one day after falling at Iowa Wesleyan 94-65. Nicco Carter scored 12 points for the Lions against Coe, which outrebounded Finlandia 49-24.

About the Lions: Finlandia comes down from Hancock in the U.P. of Michigan and holds a 0-3 record in an abbreviated season that started just over a week ago with a 91-83 loss at Martin Luther (Minn.). The Lions finished 1-23 last season and this year are led by first-year head coach Allen Dehority. Finlandia competes in NCAA Division III and is a new member of the Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference, formerly known as the Capital Athletic Conference and a once-Eastern based league that now includes members from across the country including California. The Lions will not play a conference schedule this year, but this is the first of two meetings between the Muskies and Lions in the span of eight days, as Lakeland will head up to Hancock next Tuesday to complete a home-and-home series.
