Series history: 74th meeting, Lakeland leads 40-33
While Lakeland holds the all-time series lead, Wisconsin Lutheran has won eight of the last ten meetings, including two this season in Milwaukee when the Warriors won 86-72 on Feb. 12 and 104-91 the next day. The last two Lakeland wins came in the 2017-18 season when the Muskies swept Wisconsin Lutheran, including a 95-79 win at Woltzen Gymnasium. Then-freshman Trenton Nickel nailed two of three three-pointers for six points in 12 minutes off the bench in the victory. This also is the third-ever meeting between the two schools in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Tournament and first since Feb. 26, 2008, when the sixth-seeded Muskies upset No. 3 seed WLC 99-94 in overtime in the tourney quarterfinals.

Lakeland last time out: Lost at Marian 71-65 Saturday
The Muskies closed out their regular season with a second straight loss to the Sabres Saturday night. Lakeland held a 10-point halftime lead and still led by nine with under 10 minutes to play, but the Sabres finished the game on a 17-5 run. David Britton scored 20 second half points for Marian, including a three-point play with 2:35 left that gave the Sabres a 61-60 lead, their first lead of the game. Cam Jaeger led the Muskies with 22 points, making 8 of 13 from the field and 4 of 7 from three-point range, and Aiden Polzin added 11 points and five rebounds. Despite the loss, Lakeland found out later Saturday night that it qualified for the NACC tourney after MSOE lost a two-point decision to Concordia Wisconsin.

Wisconsin Lutheran last time out: Lost at Edgewood 83-74 Saturday
The Warriors had already locked up the top seed in the NACC North Division playoffs before they suffered their first series sweep of the season over the weekend, dropping a pair of games to Edgewood that lifted the Eagles to the two seed in the conference tournament. WLC lost Saturday night despite receiving 21 points from freshman Jacob Stoltz. The Warriors led by 11 at halftime, but Edgewood opened the second half with a 7-0 run and went on another 7-0 run to take a 58-57 lead with just under 11 minutes to play. Zach Zuleger added 18 points and eight rebounds for Lutheran , and Alex VanCrete scored 10 points and grabbed six rebounds.

Recapping the first two meetings: Lakeland led for much of the first 30 minutes of the teams' first matchup on Feb. 12, but the Warriors scored 24 points in five minutes midway through the second half to give WLC a 73-61 lead with 6:25 left. The Muskies hung around the rest of the way but ultimately fell 86-72. Lakeland's offense was potent in the second game of the weekend series, but another scoring binge where Wisconsin Lutheran scored 41 points over the final 10 minutes sealed a Warrior victory. The Muskies made 33 of 62 shots in that second game, including a sizzling 62.1% (18 of 29) in the first half. WLC won the rebounding battle 44-32, including 18 offensive rebounds, and finished with a big 28-5 advantage in second chance points. Earl Lewis had a breakout performance in the game, leading Lakeland with 21 points, while Alex VanCrete led all scorers with 28 points for WLC.
