FOND DU LAC, Wis. – Marian University took all nine matches in defeating the Lakeland University women's tennis team in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference dual Sunday at Buttermilk Creek Park.

The Muskies (1-4 overall, 1-4 NACC) saw their best performance in singles play from Sadie Conway (Monroe, Wis.). The freshman won two games in each set but fell to Carly Paulson 6-2, 6-2 at Number 2 singles.

Lakeland's best showings in doubles play came at the No. 2 and No. 3 flights. Jessica Leicht (Jr.-Sheboygan Falls, Wis.) and Kallie Hoeft (So.-Cascade, Wis.) were defeated 8-2 by Marian's Kyrsten Bruce and Erica Counter, while Morgan Erbstoesser (So.-Union, Ill.) and Bobainah Cha (So.-Milwaukee, Wis.) also were defeated 8-3 at No. 3 doubles by Aeryn Olson and Katrina Pokorny.

The Muskies are in action again Sunday when they travel to face Dominican University in Forest Park, Ill.
