OSHKOSH, Wis. – Nick Larson (So.-Sheboygan, Wis.) and Alessandro Bianchi (Jr.-Venice, Italy) both won their singles matches for the Lakeland University men's tennis team but Lawrence University took a 7-2 win overall in a non-conference dual Saturday at the Oshkosh YMCA Tennis Center.

Larson won for the second time this season at Number 2 singles, defeating Cam Strawn of Lawrence 7-5, 6-4. Bianchi also picked up his third win at No. 6 singles, improving to 3-2 this season with a 6-3, 6-3 victory over Kenneth Penaherrera.

The Muskies (1-5 overall) were competitive in a number of other matches but unable to break through, including Jacob Larson (Sr.-Wauwatosa, Wis.) falling to Andrew Larson 6-3, 6-4 at No. 1 singles.

Nick Larson and Jacob Larson also were defeated at No. 1 doubles, dropping an 8-3 decision to Andrew Larson and Yui Ito of Lawrence. Robert Grimes (Fr.-Plymouth, Wis.) and Luke Roe (Fr.-Plymouth, Wis.) also were defeated by an 8-3 count at No. 3 doubles by Dylan Delgado and Jonathan Hogan.

Lakeland now gets ready for its Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference schedule beginning when it hosts St. Norbert College Saturday, March 26 at 9 a.m. at Sports Core in Kohler.
