KOHLER, Wis. – Kassidee Webb (So.-Castroville, Texas) led three double-winners for the Lakeland University women's tennis team as it concluded the fall portion of its season with a 7-1 win over Marian University Saturday afternoon at Sports Core.

The Muskies finished the fall with a winning overall record of 6-4 and a 5-4 mark in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference. Lakeland finishes the regular season in a three-way tie with Milwaukee School of Engineering and St. Norbert College for fourth, though the Muskies came out on the short end of the tiebreaker with the other two and will be the sixth seed in the NACC Tournament in the spring, traveling to take on No. 3 seed Wisconsin Lutheran College in April.

The Muskies and Sabres mostly beat the rain coming into the Sheboygan area, getting all three doubles matches completed and five of six singles matches finished before the rain caused the Number 2 singles match to be called without a winner. Lakeland swept play over Marian (1-10 overall, 1-8 NACC) at doubles and won four of five completed singles matches.

Webb won her No. 3 singles match over Melana Brunton by a 6-3, 6-1 score. She and Olivia Heling (So.-West Bend, Wis.) also won their No. 1 doubles match 8-4 over Marian's Aeryn Olson and Kendall Pliner.

Baylee Babcock (Sr.-Mauston, Wis.) also won twice, including finishing an excellent fall at No. 4 singles, improving to 7-2 at that level after a 6-4, 6-2 victory over Pliner. Babcock and Mary Blossom (So.-Farmington Hills, Mich.) also defeated Josephine Bruce and Abby Okon 8-7 in No. 2 doubles, including 7-4 in the tiebreaking game.

Sadie Conway (Sr.-Monroe, Wis.) also won twice, including cruising past Bruce 6-0, 6-2 at No. 5 singles. Sadie and Sydnee Conway (Fr.-Monroe, Wis.) also handled Bruton and Alyssa Heim 8-1 at No. 3 doubles, the sisters improving to 3-0 as a doubles team.

Clare Kelnhofer (Sr.-Brandon, Wis.) also played at No. 6 singles and topped Madeline Chimenti 6-1, 6-0. The lone unfinished singles match had Blossom down a set but up in the second over Okon, with Okon leading 6-4, 5-6 when the match was ended due to rain.
