The Lakeland University men's soccer team is action for the second day in a row, and again at home at Taylor Field when it hosts Ripon College for a non-conference match Wednesday afternoon.

Series history: 22nd meeting, Ripon leads 10-9-2
The series between Lakeland and Ripon has been a close one throughout its history. Ripon won the most recent meeting just over a year ago on Oct. 10, 2023, scoring twice in the second half of a 2-0 win. The teams played to a 1-1 tie in their last meeting here at Taylor Field on Sept. 3, 2022, and Lakeland last defeated the Red Hawks five years ago, scoring a 3-2 win on the road Sept. 22, 2019 as Lizandro Jimenez scored what proved to be the game-winner early in the second half.
Lakeland last time out: Defeated Maranatha Baptist 3-0 yesterday
The Muskies won their second straight game at home and prevailed in the non-conference matchup on Senior Day.

Brahm Dell Adema and
Dunia Wangu all scored goals,
Porter Gigstead added two assists and
Eduardo Campuzano also added an assist. Maranatha outshot Lakeland 15-11 but the Muskies were the far more opportunistic team.
Zach Heiman and
Matt English also combined for nine saves in goal.
Gigstead took over the team lead in assists with four, and he now is in among the leaders in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference in the category, tied for ninth. Campuzano also now has three assists, putting him tied for 16th in the NACC.
Ripon last time out: Defeated Beloit 4-0 Saturday
The Red Hawks took care of business early to win on their Homecoming, scoring all four of their goals in the first 50 minutes. Finley Manning scored just 2:32 into the match, Ripon led 3-0 at halftime and cruised to the win over its Midwest Conference rival. The win snapped a four-game losing streak for the Red Hawks, who opened the season with an 8-1 record that including an opening 1-0 loss to Wisconsin Lutheran followed by eight straight wins. Ripon is just 1-3 in conference play, tied for seventh of nine teams in the Midwest Conference, but its 9-5 overall record is second-best in the conference.
