Lakeland University will induct five standout athletes and one coach into its Athletic Hall of Fame this fall as part of Homecoming weekend.

The class includes:
- Theresa Falk '03, volleyball.
- Ryan Maiuri '06 MAC '08, football.
- Alli Weiss '08, soccer.
- Adam Sutter '10, wrestling.
- Justin Ward '14, basketball.
- Pete Rogers, wrestling coach.Â
An induction banquet will be held on Friday, October 4, beginning at 5:30 p.m.
Reservations are required. Registration will be available beginning in June at Lakeland.edu/homecoming.

The incoming class increases membership in Lakeland's Hall of Fame to 192.

Falk was a dynamic scorer that helped establish Lakeland's program as one of the best in the region. She holds the Lakeland career record for kills (1,423) along with the single season kills record of 550 in 2002, more than 100 kills more than the No. 2 spot, as well as the No. 3 single-season spot with 433 kills in 2001.

A two-time First Team All-Lake Michigan Conference honoree, Falk had a reputation for hitting the ball so hard that defenders sometimes would just get out of the way rather than trying to challenge her. She was an LMC All-Rookie team selection in 2000.

Falk is No. 6 in career service aces (155) and eighth in career hitting percentage (.266). She's tied for second in most kills in a match (24) and also has the third-best performance with 23.

She helped lead the 2002 team to a school-record 32 wins and the program's first LMC Tournament championship and NCAA Division III tournament appearance. Of the 32 wins, 22 came by 3-0 sweep, including a perfect 36-0 record in games en route to winning the regular season conference championship.

Falk, who lives in Green Bay, Wis., with her daughter, Emma, is transportation planner for Paper Transport in DePere, Wis.

Maiuri is one of the most decorated quarterbacks in Lakeland history and helped lead the Muskies to two conference championships and the program's first NCAA Division III Playoff appearance in 2005.

As a senior, he was 2005 Illini-Badger Football Conference Player of the Year and led the league in total offense. He was 2004 IBFC Offensive Player of the Year, First Team All-IBFC as a junior and senior and helped lead the Muskies to conference titles both seasons.

Following graduation, he played professionally in Germany in 2006 and played indoor football for several seasons.
Â
He served as a graduate assistant at both Lakeland and the University of Minnesota and as an assistant coach at Division II Winona State University (Minn.), Adrian College (Mich.) and Central College (Iowa). He was offensive coordinator for Central and the 2021 team set 62 new offensive school records, their quarterback was named Division III's outstanding player and the team advanced to the Division III national quarterfinals.

Maiuri, who has a master's in kinesiology from Minnesota, was named head football coach at the University of Dubuque, Iowa, this past January. He and his wife, Bridgette, and their four children live in Dubuque.

Weiss was a fixture at goalie for some of Lakeland's best women's soccer teams. She was first team all-conference twice, as a junior in the LMC when she set the school single-season shutout record (14) and as a senior in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC). She was honorable mention All-LMC as a sophomore and freshman.

She holds the program's career records in shutouts (32) and goals against (1.37) as well as single-season records in goals against (17-2006) and goals against average (0.89-2005).

She was goalie for both of Lakeland's teams that earned trips to the NCAA Division III Tournament thanks to winning the 2003 and 2005 LMC Tournaments.

Weiss is a fourth grade teacher for the Wauwatosa School District. She her wife, Colleen, and their two children live in Franklin, Wis.
Â
Sutter is one of Lakeland's most accomplished wrestlers. He is Lakeland's only two-time NCAA Division III All-American, and his third-place finish at nationals in 2009-10 is the highest national finish in program history. At the time, he was just the second wrestler in Lakeland history to become an All-American.

He was a three-time Northern Wrestling Association champion at heavyweight (2008, 2009 and 2010) and finished second as a freshman. He is second in career wins (112), was the first wrestler in program history to win 100 career matches and is one of just three all-time to eclipse the century mark.

Sutter was part of two teams that had top-30 finishes in the nation. The Muskies finished 21
st in the nation in 2008-09 when Sutter was a junior and 26
th in the nation in 2009-10, his senior season.

Sutter is a lead paper maker at the Billerud paper mill in Escanaba, Mich. He and his fiancée, Mallory, live in his hometown of Gladstone, Mich., and he has three children.

Ward is one of the men's basketball program's most decorated players and is among both conference and program leaders in several categories.
Â
A three-time First Team All-NACC honoree, he was third team DIII All-American Basketball Times and d3hoops.com All-Midwest Region as a senior. He was named to the NACC All-Freshman team.
Â
A 6-foot-9 presence on the court, Ward is Lakeland's career leader in blocks (230), sixth in career scoring (1,615 points) and career rebounds (742). He is eighth in career rebounds in NACC history and ninth in career field goals made.

After playing basketball professionally in Europe, Ward now lives in his native Wisconsin Dells, Wis., with his wife, Taylor, a 2013 Lakeland graduate, and their two boys. He is a manager at Holiday Shores Campground & Resort, a family business started by his grandfather. His younger sister, Jenna, is a 2016 Lakeland graduate.

In his nine seasons as head men's wrestling coach, Rogers took a program that struggled to field a complete roster to national rankings in each of his last three seasons and back-to-back top 30 team finishes at the NCAA Division III National Tournament.

He helped guide the Muskies to three conference titles and three second-place finishes, coached four national tournament qualifiers and two All-Americans. The Muskies finished 21
st in the nation in 2008-09 and 26
th in the nation in 2009-10, his final season at Lakeland. He was instrumental in Lakeland hosting an NCAA Division III Wrestling Regional in 2009.

Lakeland's breakthrough season was 2007-08 when Rogers guided the Muskies to a 13-5-1 dual record, including a 5-0 record against teams from the talented Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. The team also won the Northern Wrestling Alliance title, earned its first national ranking in school history and sent just the second national qualifier in Lakeland history to nationals, Paul Hartt.

The Oostburg, Wis., native, who won three undefeated state wrestling championships in high school, wrestled at and graduated from Ohio State University prior to returning to the area and coaching at Lakeland. He served as an assistant wrestling coach at Purdue University for four years.

Rogers currently serves as a regional sales manager for Advantage Sport and Fitness out of Chapel Hill, N.C., where he lives with his wife, Brandi, and two children. He is a member of Lakeland's wrestling staff, conducting Mindset Monday sessions virtually with the team and mentoring Lakeland's wrestlers.
