Series history: 23rd meeting, Ripon leads 11-9-2
The series between Lakeland and Ripon has been a close one throughout its history. Ripon has won the last two meetings, including a 3-1 win at Lakeland last season. Porter Gigstead scored the lone goal for the Muskies. The Red Hawks are 3-0-1 in the last four meetings, including a 1-1 tie at Taylor Field in 2022. Lakeland last defeated the Red Hawks six years ago, scoring a 3-2 win on the road Sept. 22, 2019 as Lizandro Jimenez scored what proved to be the game-winner early in the second half.

Lakeland last time out: Won at Maranatha Baptist 1-0 yesterday
The Muskies gritted out a hard-earned non-conference win on the road in Watertown yesterday. Dunia Wangu scored the only goal of the match midway through the second half, beating two defenders to chase down a pass ahead by Owen Bishop and chipping the ball over the Sabercats' goalkeeper to score in his second straight match and tally his fifth goal of the season. Matt English went the distance in goal and made eight saves for his second shutout of the season. Lakeland's six wins this season are the most since the Muskies won six games in 2021, and along with six victories in 2014 are tied for the most by Lakeland men's soccer team since the 2013 team won eight times.

Ripon last time out: Defeated Beloit 3-0 Saturday
The Red Hawks earned an important Midwest Conference win, defeating the Buccaneers at home on Saturday night. Gabe O'Doherty scored his first collegiate goal in the 22nd minute to open the scoring, and Matthew Hegge and Finley Manning both added goals in the second half. Beloit outshot Ripon 17-13 for the match but Drew Seyfer made six save in goal for the shutout. The Red Hawks moved to 3-3-1 in conference play, within one point of Beloit and Grinnell (Iowa) in fourth. Six teams are separated by a total of three points in the standings and are competing for three remaining spots in the four-team Midwest Conference Tournament.
