PLYMOUTH, Wis. – The Lakeland University women's basketball team's seniors ensured that their Senior Day would not be their final games, leading the way in a 69-58 victory over Concordia University Chicago Saturday afternoon at the Moose & Dona Woltzen Gymnasium.
The Muskies won their home and regular season finale and will play on in the NACC Tournament after improving to 11-14 overall and 9-9 in the NACC. Lakeland won a tiebreaker over Concordia Chicago (10-15 overall, 9-9 NACC) to claim the eighth and final spot in the tourney, and will take on top-seeded Wisconsin Lutheran College in the NACC tourney quarterfinals Tuesday night at 7 p.m. in Milwaukee.

Lauryn Johnson then added a basket in the paint with eight seconds left in the quarter and the Muskies took a 46-38 lead after three periods. The Cougars got only as close as six in the fourth quarter, the last time at 48-42 after two more free throws by Jackson, but
Alexis Johnson made two free throws and then a layup and
Sadie Grabow (
So.-Bourbonnais, Ill.) swished a three-pointer to make it 55-42 with 7:12 to play, and Lakeland was in control the rest of the way.
