Five members of the Lakeland University softball team were named to the College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) NCAA Division III Academic All-District Team when the organization announced its season awards Tuesday.
Seniors
Sydney Meyer (
Crown Point, Ind.) and
Carlie Morrow (
Menasha, Wis.) juniors
Callie Linders (
Griffith, Ind.) and
McKenzie Staudinger (
Manitowoc, Wis.) and sophomore
Natalie Ziebell (
New Holstein, Wis.) all received all-district academic honors. The awards are based on combined performances in the classroom and on the field. To be eligible, the nominee must be a starter or regular reserve on their team, have completed one full calendar year at the nominating institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.50.
Meyer and Morrow both were four-year starters on the infield for the Muskies, with Meyer majoring in elementary and middle school education and Morrow majoring in psychology. Meyer received the CSC Academic All-District honor for the second time in her career.
Linders and Ziebell both were first team all-Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference honorees, Linders as an outfielder and Ziebell as a pitcher. Linders is majoring in middle and high school education and social studies education, while Ziebell is majoring in accounting and mathematics. Staudinger led Lakeland in RBIs this season while starting at first base and is majoring in accounting and business administration.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District Softball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes softball honorees in four divisions - NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
