Sean Gregorius (
So.-Germantown, Wis.) was named an honorable mention selection when the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference released its postseason baseball awards Thursday afternoon.
Gregorius was named an honorable mention pick for the first time in his career. He led the Muskies in a host of statistical categories in a big sophomore season where he established himself as one of the top hitters in the NACC.
Playing in right field and at catcher this season, Gregorius started all 40 games for Lakeland and batted .366 with 60 hits, 12 doubles, two home runs and 31 runs batted in. He also scored 34 runs and stole 10 bases, and he led the team in batting average, hits, doubles, RBIs and runs scored and ranked third in homers and steals.
Gregorius also ranks tied for fifth in the conference on hits for the season. He also is tied for 14th in the conference in doubles. In all he hit safely in 31 of 40 games played and raised his batting average 76 points after hitting .290 as a freshman last year, when he also started all 39 games.
Gregorius received the recognition after the Muskies finished 14-26 this season and posted a 7-17 record in the NACC. Lakeland improved its win total for the third straight year, and its 14 wins rank as the program's most since 2022 and were a three-win improvement from last year's 11-28 mark.
