Lakeland and Grace Christian meet for the first time in men's soccer. Grace is a member of the National Christian College Athletic Association, and the schools have met twice before in women's soccer, including last year when the Muskies women's team edged the Tigers 1-0. The other meeting of the women's teams came back in 2013, a 1-1 tie when the school was known as Grace Bible College.

Lakeland last time out: Defeated Martin Luther (Minn.) 4-1 Wednesday
The Muskies extended their winning streak to four straight matches with a win on the road in New Ulm, Minn. Austin Eigenberger-Vahsholtz opened the scoring with his first goal of the season, Jordan Davis-Troller added a goal and Dunia Wangu scored two more goals to bring his total to six this season, a total tied for the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference lead. Lakeland carried play to the tune of a 28-6 advantage in shot attempts and with the victory is now on its longest winning streak since the 2008 season, when the Muskies won six straight matches.

Grace Christian last time out: Lost at Lawrence 5-1 yesterday
The Tigers opened a two-day swing in Wisconsin with a loss Thursday morning to the Vikings. Grace Christian bounced back after two early Lawrence goals to pull within 2-1 in the 20th minute after Caden Petroelje scored with an assist from Ricardo Correa. Lawrence scored in the 55th minute to stretch the lead to 3-1, then scored twice in the match's final 2:45 to salt the game away. GCU lost for the first time after opening the season with shutout wins over Ohio Christian, Alice Lloyd (Ky.) and Kentucky Christian. The Tigers finished 11-8-3 a year ago, qualifying for the NCCAA National Championships and going 1-2 in pool play at the tournament.
