The Lakeland College women's soccer team will try again for its first Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference win when it hosts Alverno College at 3:30 p.m. today on the campus soccer field.
The Muskies (2-11-1 overall, 0-5 NACC) and Inferno (1-10-1 overall, 0-5 NACC) are both winless in the conference. Lakeland is coming off a 5-0 loss to Concordia Chicago on Sunday, while Alverno was defeated 2-1 in double overtime by Wisconsin Lutheran on Saturday.
The Muskies hold an 11-1 advantage in the all-time series, but Alverno picked up its first win ever over Lakeland last year with a 2-0 victory. Samantha Devcich and Andrea Diaz scored goals for Alverno in the 6th and 61st minutes, respectively. The Muskies' last win in the series came two years ago right here at home, a 4-1 win.

The Lakeland men's soccer team also is on the road today, facing UW-Oshkosh in a non-conference match in Oshkosh at 7 p.m.
The Muskies are 4-8-1 overall and are coming off a tough 1-0 loss to Concordia Chicago on Sunday, a game in which the Cougars scored the winning goal in the 84th minute.
UW-Oshkosh is 8-5-1 overall and most recently defeated Marian 6-0 last Wednesday. The Titans are 3-1 against NACC teams this year, with wins over Marian, Concordia Wisconsin and Wisconsin Lutheran and a loss to MSOE.
