Gaby Cappaert (Jr.-Stephenson, Mich.) scored 19 points and filled the stat sheet in other categories as the Lakeland College women's basketball team defeated Maranatha Baptist University 81-41 Saturday afternoon in a non-conference game at the Moose & Dona Woltzen Gymnasium.

Cappaert scored a career high and also added career highs with six rebounds and five assists while adding four steals as well. The Muskies won their final non-conference game of the season and improved to 7-13 overall.

Lakeland easily handled the Sabercats (2-13), who committed 30 turnovers and made just five field goals in the first half. The Muskies shot 47.8% for the game (32 of 67), including 10-for-21 from three-point range, and finished with 18 steals.

Mikayla Hilton (So.-Port Washington, Wis.) also added 11 points as Lakeland's reserves scored 56 points. Bailey Grayvold (So.-Norway, Mich.) added 10 points, all in the first half, and in all 11 of 12 Muskies in uniform scored and all 12 played at least 10 minutes each.

Stacy Reinke led Maranatha Baptist with 15 points and eight rebounds. The visitors shot 38.6% from the field (17 of 44).
 
Lakeland takes to the road for its next game Tuesday when it faces Concordia University Wisconsin at 7 p.m. in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference game in Mequon.
