The Lakeland College softball team opens play in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Tournament on Thursday when it faces Dominican (Ill.) University at noon.

Should the fifth-seeded Muskies win their opener, they will advance to face top-seeded Aurora (Ill.) University in a game at 4 p.m. If Lakeland loses, it will drop into an elimination game at 9 a.m. on Friday against the loser of Game 3 of the double-elimination tournament.
