Series history: All-time records are incomplete, but this is the 55th meeting between Lakeland and Edgewood since 1991. The Muskies hold a 32-22 lead in the series in that time, though the Eagles have won the last two meetings including a four-set win here at the Woltzen Gym just over a year ago on Oct. 4, 2022. Edgewood won that match 21-25, 25-17, 25-21, 25-13, with Abigail Hoffmann finishing with 11 kills, 12 assists and 10 digs. Lakeland had won five straight over the Eagles, the last wins coming in a doubleheader April 1, 2021 in that year's abbreviated spring season due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with the Muskies sweeping both matches in three sets. The series has been dominated by some long streaks; Edgewood won ten straight from 2010-16, but before that Lakeland won 18 straight over the Eagles from 2000-09.

Edgewood last time out: Defeated Aurora 3-2 Thursday
The Eagles are also coming off a big win, taking the battle between the lone two remaining unbeaten teams in the NACC. Edgewood came back from a 2-1 deficit in the match to prevail 25-18, 22-25, 18-25, 25-18, 15-11. Ashley Bruehlman totaled 14 kills and 15 digs, Katie Borchert added 13 kills and Abigail Hoffmann finished with 12 kills plus 24 assists. Jennacy Wille also totaled 21 digs, and the Eagles held Aurora to .150 hitting for the match and a .029 mark over the final two sets to defeat the Spartans, who have won or shared the last five conference regular season championships and have won the last two and four of the last five NACC Tournament titles. Edgewood also improved to 11-3 in matches decided in four or five sets this season, and six of the Eagles' seven NACC matches have gone at least four sets.
