The Lakeland University women's volleyball team plays at home for the final time in the regular season and will honor six seniors before the match when it hosts Loras (Iowa) College at 7 p.m. Friday night at the Moose & Dona Woltzen Gymnasium.

Lakeland and Loras meet for the second straight year in a home-and-home series that started with the Duhawks hosting last year's meeting in Dubuque. The Muskies won 25-21, 25-16, 21-25, 25-21 with
Susana Stevens (16),
Brelynn Scoles (14) and
Isabella Westerholm (11) combining for 41 kills. That was the teams' first meeting in five years, since Lakeland also won in four sets Sept. 23, 2017 at a tourney hosted by Central College in Pella, Iowa. Loras last defeated Lakeland the year prior in 2016 with a five-set victory in a match played at Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa. The series between the schools dates back to 1996, with 13 of the 16 meetings between the teams played at neutral sites and the remaining three matches played at Loras.
Lakeland last time out: Defeated Wisconsin Lutheran 3-1 last night
The Muskies sputtered a bit coming out of the gates but warmed up after the opening set and defeated the Warriors 21-25, 25-13, 25-16, 25-21 in their Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference regular season finale.
Maeve Sullivan set a new career high with 28 digs and Lakeland scrapped out a win despite a spotty night hitting that included a .106 hitting percentage with 45 kills and 30 errors.
Kelly Swope led the attack with 12 kills,
Susana Stevens added 10 kills and
Roseily Carrasquillo finished wtih 23 assists.
Emily Dickmann added six kills in eight attempts from the setter position plus 14 assists. In addition to the win, the Muskies also found out they will face Concordia Wisconsin in their NACC Tournament quarterfinal match in Mequon Tuesday, after the Falcons lost to St. Norbert in four sets last night.
Loras last time out: Lost at Coe (Iowa) 3-0 Wednesday
The Duhawks came up short agianst the Duhawks on the road in American Rivers Conference play, with Coe cruising to a 25-17, 25-16, 25-11 victory. The host Kohawks hit .271 for the match with 38 kills and just nine errors and Loras dropped to 3-5 in conference play this season. Autumn Finch led the Duhawks with 11 kills, Sara Hoskins posted 26 assists and Jenna Bistline paced Loras with 13 digs. The Duhawks lost their second straight match in an up-and-down season that has included no winning or losing streak longer than three matches all year.
Senior Night: Tonight marks the final home match of the season for Lakeland and for six seniors.

Isabel Wells all will be part of their final home match. The six include five four-year members of the team plus Wells, who joined the team plus Wells, who joined the team as a junior after playing softball at Lakeland.
