Muskies softball program to host winter hitting, pitching clinics

The Lakeland University softball program is hosting a pair of four-week clinics this winter for girls ages 5-18, and registrations are being accepted at this time.

Three separate four-week clinics will be held on Sundays beginning Jan. 19 and continuing through Feb. 9. Clinics will be held for pitching and hitting, with separate sessions for both starting at noon and 1 p.m. based on age groups.

The hitting clinic will be held for ages 5-11 from noon-1 p.m., and for ages 12-18 from 1-2 p.m. The pitching clinic will start with ages 12-18 from noon-1 p.m., with ages 5-11 going from 1-2 p.m.

The hitting clinics will focus on improving each camper's overall hitting skills, leaving campers with a greater knowledge of how to construct a more efficient and powerful softball swing. The pitching clinics will cover all aspects of pitching mechanics, movement, pitch selection and development. Instruction for the clinics will be led by Lakeland head coach Kayla Bryant, assistant coach Lauren Greif and the Muskies softball team.

Cost for the clinics is $150 for attending one four-week session or $40 for a one-day drop-in. Space is limited in the clinics to 40 in the hitting clinic and 20 in the pitching clinic. Participants will receive a T-shirt.

For more information or to register contact Head Softball Coach Kayla Bryant at (920) 565-1024, ext. 2190 or by email at bryantk@lakeland.edu.
