Lakeland men’s soccer to host pair of camps in August

The Lakeland University men's soccer program is hosting a pair of camps this summer with opportunities for boys entering first grade and all the way through 12th grade.

The men's soccer program will once again host a summer ID camp Friday, Aug. 9 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Taylor Field on Lakeland's main campus in Plymouth. Lakeland also will host the Muskie Soccer Youth Camp Saturday, Aug. 10 and Sunday, Aug. 11 from 9 a.m. to noon both days.

The ID camp is designed to give current high school players a glimpse into the Lakeland men's soccer program and is open to all boys who will graduate from high school in 2025, 2026, 2027 or 2028, as well as any uncommitted players from the 2024 high school class.

The day will be focused on a soccer-centric experience that will help improve your overall skills through quality on field instruction from our Lakeland coaching staff. Focus will be on small-sided games (including a tournament), technical application to the game and larger field play.

Cost of the camp is $50 and includes a T-shirt and light snack. Participants will need to bring a soccer ball, cleats, water bottle and shin guards. More information and online registration is available at https://connect.lakeland.edu/register/MSPreseason.

The Muskie Soccer Youth camp is intended for children entering grades 1-8 who are interested in the game of soccer. Children of all ages and skill are encouraged to attend and explore the game of soccer. The two-day camp will focus on technical skill development and small-sided games.

Cost of the youth camp is $70 and includes a T-shirt. Each camper will need to bring a ball, water bottle, and shin guards. Registration is available at https://connect.lakeland.edu/register/YouthSoccer.
