The Lakeland men's basketball program will again host two different camps this summer with its annual Boys Youth Camp and College Experience Camp.
The College Experience Camp will be held June 30 for boys entering grades 10 through 12. Lakeland will also host its Boys Youth Camp for boys entering grades 4-8 for two days in July. Both camps will take place inside the Wehr Center on the Lakeland campus.
The College Basketball Experience Camp will be held Monday, June 30 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The camp goal is to provide a unique experience on what it is like to practice and be coached at the college level. The camp will be held at the same intensity level of a college practice and will include skill development, team competition and a practice session.
Lakeland's coaching staff will teach offensive and defensive tactics used at the college level. Skill development and fundamental drill work will be heavily emphasized. Each player will receive one-on-one and group coaching.
A brief campus tour will also be provided, and there will be an informational session on the recruiting and college admissions process.
Cost for the camp is $60. Lunch will be provided for all campers, and campers will also receive a camp T-shirt. Online registration including payment for the Collegiate Experience Camp is available at

The Muskie Scoring Camp for youth entering grades 4-8 will be held Monday-Tuesday, July 21-22 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The camp will stress offensive fundamentals in all skills: ball handling, individual offensive skills, shooting and playing without the ball. Team play will be emphasized in all game situations. To aid in implementing these techniques, a variety of instruction will be used including games, contests and relays.
Each camper will receive instruction from the Lakeland coaching staff in all fundamental skills of basketball. There will be group and individual instruction, including shooting form instruction from college players and coaches. There will also be daily contests and awards.
Cost for the camp is $100. Lunch will be provided for all campers both days. Online registration is available at
