The Muskies were defeated by Augustana College Vikings Saturday afternoon 5-0. The game winning goal for Augustana came just two minutes and 44 seconds into the contest when Emily Olson scored putting the Vikings up 1-0.

In the tenth minute Tessa Roberts added an insurance goal for the Vikings. The Vikings would add to the lead in the 33rd minute with a goal by Christina Peterson off of an assist by Katelyn Petrie.

The Muskies defense improved in the second half as they held Augustana to only six shots, compared to 13 in the first half. However, the Vikings were still able to score two goals as Krista Petrie and Lauren Everding put balls in the back of the net.

Lakeland is off until Thursday when they travel to St. Norbert College. Their next home match is on Sunday against Aurora University.
