The Lakeland College women's soccer team was shut down Sunday afternoon, managing only two shots on offense as Aurora collected nine goals in a 9-0 home loss.
Trailing 3-0 after halftime, Aurora quickly scored three more goals in a two-minute span. The Spartans put up 22 total shots while holding the Muskie offense dormant.
Britney Schenck, Haley Pschirrer and Nikki Counsell each had two goals apiece for Aurora, the top team in the Northern Athletics Conferece.

Maria Santelli had the best attempt for Lakeland, hitting a free kick that struck the cross bar and sailed over the net with just under five minutes remaining.

Lakeland concludes its 2009 season with a final match on Wednesday, Oct. 28 at home against Concordia Wisconsin at 3:00 p.m.
