The Lakeland College women's soccer team tries again for its second win this season when it hosts Mount Mary University on Wednesday at 5 p.m. on the Muskies' home soccer pitch.
Lakeland comes in with a 1-4 record and most recently was defeated by Beloit College 4-2 on Saturday.

So.-Sheboygan, Wis.) scored twice but the Buccaneers scored four times in the first half and it was the difference as both teams were scoreless in the second half.
Mount Mary enters with a 0-5 record and was defeated by Finlandia (Mich.) University by a 1-0 score on Saturday. The Blue Angels have scored just three goals over their five matches while playing with no more than 11 players in each of their five matches.
The 18th meeting all-time between the two schools is a rematch of last year's 2-2 tie, when the Blue Angels stopped a 10-game winning streak in the series for Lakeland.Â

So.-Roscoe, Ill.) scored goals to put the Muskies ahead 2-0, but MMU's Emily Ristow followed with two goals in a span of 2:01 to tie the match. Mount Mary's Becky Onan was remarkable in goal, making 24 saves to keep her team in the match despite Lakeland outshooting the Blue Angels 42-6.
Wednesday's game also features several players who are prominent in the early-season NCAA Division III national statistics. Mount Mary's Onan currently leads Division III in total saves, as her 75 saves is 19 ahead of her nearest competitor, while Lakeland goalkeeper
Melissa Noll (
Sr.-Ashwaubenon, Wis.) also ranks tied for 22nd nationally in saves with 40. Pulido also is currently tied for fifth in the nation with her eight goals scored, and her 1.60 points per game is tied for 13th. She also is tied for seventh nationally with her 17 points and ranks tied for 17th with an average of 3.40 points per match.
