Muskies host Finlandia for soccer breakfast engagement Saturday

The Lakeland University women's soccer team will start off a busy day at Taylor Memorial Field when it hosts Finlandia (Mich.) University for a non-conference women's soccer match bright and early at the breakfast hour of 9 a.m.

The Muskies will look for their fourth win of the season while playing the first half of a Lakeland athletics doubleheader on Saturday. The women's soccer match will be followed by the Lakeland football team hosting Trine (Ind.) University for a 1 p.m. kickoff.

The Muskies (3-2-1 overall) come into Saturday's match off a 4-1 loss to Ripon at home on Wednesday. Rachel Hasko (Jr.-Racine, Wis.) scored the lone goal for Lakeland, which fell behind 2-0 midway through the first half and then surrendered two more goals early in the second half.
Finlandia (2-1 overall) was defeated by Northern Michigan 9-0 on Wednesday in its most recent game, falling to their NCAA Division II neighbors. The Lions did win their first two games to open the season, defeating Northland 2-0 for their first-ever win in 14 meetings with the LumberJills, and then blanking Eureka (Ill.) 13-0.
