Series history: 38th meeting, Wisconsin Lutheran leads 22-14-1
Wisconsin Lutheran is one of the Muskies' most-played opponents, and the teams' history dates back to their days together in the Lake Michigan Conference. WLC has won the last seven meetings, including a 3-0 victory last year at home as Brooke Bluhm scored the first goal 9:10 into the match and Emilie Bartlett added two more goals while Lakeland was held off the board despite 19 shot attempts. Lutheran also won the last meeting here at Taylor Field with an 8-0 rout two years ago. The Muskies last defeated Wisconsin Lutheran more than seven years ago with a 3-0 win at home on Sept. 28, 2016. Karisa Rowland posted the shutout in goal in that match, stopping seven shots for her first collegiate shutout.

Lakeland last time out: Lost at Aurora 3-0 Saturday
The Muskies held up for more than a half but ultimately succumbed to the Spartans in the second half on the road in Illinois. Aurora scored the match's first goal in the 50th minute and added two more goals before the midway point of the second half. Lakeland was outshot 37-4, including 21-1 in the second half. Chloe Bartlett attempted three of the Muskies' four shot with Alondra Reyes also adding a shot attempt saved in the first half. Faith Turley made 12 saves in goal for her fourth game with at least 10 saves this season.

Lakeland continued to struggle in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference play, falling to 0-6 in league games. The Muskies are ahead of their pace from last season in one way, already scoring three goals in their NACC losses after scoring just two goals in conference losses all of last season.

Wisconsin Lutheran last time out: Lost at Edgewood 3-0 Saturday
The Warriors also fell on the road in conference play Saturday, falling to the Eagles in the Madison area. WLC was involved in a close match most of the way, trailing just 1-0 before Edgewood scored twice in the final five minutes. The Eagles finished with a 21-9 advantage in shots, though just a 6-3 lead in shots on goal. Kallista Street made three saves for Lutheran, which dropped to 3-3 in the NACC with wins over Rockford, Concordia Chicago and Alverno and losses also to Marian, Concordia Wisconsin.
