The Lakeland University women's soccer team continues a busy week with its third match in four days and opens conference play when it welcomes St. Norbert College Wednesday night at 7 p.m.

Series history:Â 17th meeting, St. Norbert leads 14-2
The Green Knights have dominated the series with the Muskies, including winning the last 10 meetings dating back to 2006. St. Norbert won last year's matchup 7-1 at home in De Pere just under a year ago Sept. 14, 2022. The Green Knights also won the last matchup here at Taylor Field, posting a 6-0 win in 2021. Lakeland's last win over St. Norbert was a 1-0 victory 16 years ago as Marie Reynolds scored the lone goal 45 seconds into the second half.
Lakeland last time out: Defeated Knox 2-0 Monday
The Muskies capped a two-day road trip to Illinois with a victory, defeating the Prairie Fire in Galesburg, Ill.
Alondra Reyes scored the opening goal just over nine minutes into a match, cleaning up a loose ball after a corner kick, and freshman
Mikayla Belasco scored her first collegiate goal in the second half, popping a long shot just under the crossbar and off Knox goalkeeper Sara Mirani's hands.
Faith Turley made three saves to earn the shutout and Lakeland moved back over the .500 mark, winning despite playing much of the second half down one player due to a second yellow card on Reyes in the 54th minute.
St. Norbert last time out: Won at Lawrence 3-1 last night
The Green Knights rallied to defeat their former Midwest Conference rivals in Appleton last night. Abby Thompson scored in the 38th minute to tie the game, and Haley Leadingham gave St. Norbert the lead with a goal in the 52nd minute. Melanie Simon added an insurance goal with just over 13 minutes left in the match and SNC won for the second time this season.
The Green Knights also have a victory over St. Olaf (Minn.), a tie with UW-Oshkosh and a one-goal loss to UW-Eau Claire among their five games this season. St. Norbert finished 9-12 overall last season and 7-5 to place sixth in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference, falling to No. 3 seed Illinois Tech in the first round of the NACC Tournament.
