Series history: 22nd meeting, Dominican leads 17-4
The Stars have dominated the series with the Muskies for the last 16 years, winning 16 consecutive matchups dating back to 2006. Dominican won last year's meeting 6-0 here at Taylor Field, scoring three times in the first 23 minutes and then tacking on three more goals in the last 18 minutes, two in the final 2 1/2 minutes and the final goal with one second left on the clock. The Stars have defeated Lakeland via shutout in the last 11 meetings. The Muskies' last win over Dominican was a 2-1 win in double overtime Oct. 21, 2006, as Laura Engel scored 2:41 into the second overtime period for the golden goal.

Lakeland last time out: Won at Mount Mary 9-0 Monday
The Muskies stepped out of Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference play one more time this year and dominated the Blue Angels in Milwaukee behind twin sisters Alondra and Marlen Reyes. Alondra scored four goals, tying her career high set against Mount Mary last season, and Marlen added three goals for her first collegiate hat trick. Gwynn Manteufel also scored her first collegiate goal and Janae Kilsdonk added her second career goal and first this season in a match where Lakeland finished with a 38-8 advantage in shot attempts. Faith Turley made three saves in 57-plus minutes in the start and Emilie Runkel added a save playing the final 32:35. The Muskies improved to 4-2 in non-conference matches this season, and the nine goals were a season high and the team's most since scoring 12 against the Blue Angels in the 2022 season opener.

Dominican last time out: Tied at St. Norbert 2-2 Saturday
The Stars finished in a draw with the Green Knights this past weekend up in De Pere. Dominican twice took leads in the match but St. Norbert responded to knot the score again, including in the first half when SNC needed just 19 seconds to tie after Ava Mascoe-Talbott's opening goal. Natalia Lopez added a second half goal for the Stars to go with her earlier assist. Dominican outshot St. Norbert 17-9, and Faith Richards made three saves in goal for the Stars.

Dominican is the defending NACC regular season champion and has stabilized after a rocky start. The Stars are unbeaten (2-0-3) in their last five matches after opening with a 1-3-1 record in five games. Dominican last Wednesday was a 2-0 winner over the Benedictine team that the Muskies fell to Saturday.
