Lakeland’s Johnson, Bartlett both receive all-NACC women’s basketball honors

A pair of Lakeland University women's basketball seniors were named to the all-Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference team when Alexis Johnson (Sheboygan, Wis.) and A.T. Bartlett (Farmington Hills, Mich.) were recognized among the conference's postseason award winners Wednesday.

Johnson was named a second team all-conference selection, while Bartlett received honorable mention recognition. The awards come after a year when Lakeland finished 11-15 overall and tied for in eighth in the conference with a 9-9 record.

Johnson received all-conference recognition for the first time, as the Sheboygan native averaged a career-high 12.0 points plus 2.8 rebounds and 2.7 steals per game, leading the Muskies in scoring, steals, free throws made (79) and attempted (126) and minutes played per game (25.8).

Johnson also is tied for second in the NACC in total steals (71), free throws made and attempted and ranks third in the conference in steals per game. The 5-foot-5 guard scored in double figures in 16 of 26 games and led the team in scoring in 12 games. Johnson also finished with 180 career steals, good for 10th on Lakeland's all-time career list in that category.

Bartlett received all-NACC recognition for the third straight season after being named a second team pick in 2023-24 and honorable mention last year. The senior averaged 11.0 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 2.3 steals per game, ranking fifth in the NACC in both steals (58) and steals per game.

Bartlett also led the team in assists and three-pointers made (47) and finished second in scoring, rebounding and steals. The 5-foot-7 guard played in 25 games, starting 21 and scored in double figures in 14 games. Bartlett also ranks among the program's all-time leaders in career steals with 151 career steals ranking 14th all-time for the Muskies.

St. Norbert College junior Taylor Thiry was named NACC Player of the Year for the second straight year., Lily Oiler of Wisconsin Lutheran College was named Defensive Player of the Year and Ai Yonemura of Concordia University Chicago was voted Freshman of the Year.
