OSHKOSH, Wis. –
Jiaryatou Cisse (
Jr.-Harrison, Mich.) debuted with the best time of the season in the women's 100 meters to provide one of the highlights for the Lakeland University men's and women's outdoor track & field teams at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Titan Invitational Saturday.
Cisse finished 29th of 41 competitors in the women's 100, finishing with a time of 13.60 seconds. Competing for the first time for the track team after playing on the Muskies' women's basketball team, her time was more than half a second better than the team's previous best this season in the event.
The Lakeland women's team posted four top-20 finishes individually on the day, including
Kaitlyn Feldmann (
Fr.-Elkhart Lake, Wis.) taking 11th in the high jump with a mark of 4 feet, 7 inches (1.40 meters).
Emily Guy (
Jr.-Glendale Heights, Ill.) also took 12th in the 100 hurdles (19.05) and 14th in the 400 hurdles (1:18.12), and
Elise (Brill) Torrenga (
So.-Cedar Grove, Wis.) came in 19th in the 1,500 meters with a time of 5:43.91.
Morgan Caho (
So.-Canton, Ill.) and
Preston Dos Santos (
So.-Random Lake, Wis.) once again posted the top finishes for the Muskies men's team. Caho took 19th in the 100 meters with a time of 11.39, while Dos Santos finished in the same spot in the long jump with a best leap of 19-3 1/2 (5.88m).
Dominick Enriquez (
So.-El Paso, Texas) also added a season-best in the shot put with a throw of 25-8 1/4 (7.83m) to place 21st.
Lakeland will compete again next Saturday at the Lawrence University Invitational, with events starting at 10 a.m. in Appleton.
