DE PERE, Wis. –
Morgan Caho (
So.-Canton, Ill.) posted two more season-best times on his way to top-five finishes for the Lakeland University men's and women's outdoor track & field teams at the St. Norbert College Invitational held Saturday at Schneider Stadium.
Caho won his heat and came in fourth overall in the men's 200 with a time of 22.85 seconds, more than half a second better than his previous best. He also placed fifth in the 100, with his time of 11.21 taking more than a tenth off his season best entering the day.
Caho and
Jake Lemke (
Sr.-West Bend, Wis.) recorded the scoring finishes to lead the Muskies men's team to 12 points on the day. Lemke competed in the javelin and came in sixth with a best throw of 136 feet, 9 inches (41.68 meters).
Caho and
Preston Dos Santos (
So.-Random Lake, Wis.) also both threw the javelin, with Caho coming in 12th with a mark of 117-1 (35.69m) and Dos Santos right behind in 13th at 115-6 (35.21m). Dos Santos also posted his best mark of the outdoor season in the long jump, finishing 16th in 19-9 1/2 (6.03m).
Nailah Jones (
Fr.-Milwaukee, Wis.) and
Chloe Kobliska (
Fr.-Port Washington, Wis.) competed for the Lakeland women's team, including Jones finishing the 100 meters in 14.44. Both also competed in the shot put and discus, including Kobliska posting a best of 63-9 (19.43m) in the discus and 25-2 3/4 (7.69m) in the shot.
Lakeland now gets ready for the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Outdoor Championships this coming Friday and Saturday, May 1-2, in Wauwatosa, Wis.
