Dana Henrichs (Sr.-Fall Creek, Wis.) scored all 19 of her points in the first half and the Lakeland College women's basketball team opened Northern Athletics Conference play with an easy 83-42 win over Milwaukee School of Engineering Saturday afternoon at Woltzen Gymnasium.

The Muskies built a double-digit lead by midway through the first half and cruised past the undermanned Raiders. All 12 players in uniform scored as Lakeland won its home opener and improved to 1-2 overall.

The Muskies hit eight three-pointers in the first half led by Henrichs, who was 5-for-5 from behind the arc in the half. Her three-pointer with 44 seconds left in the first half gave Lakeland a 43-25 lead it took into halftime as the Muskies shot 59.3% in the first half (16 of 27).

Lakeland shot 50.8% for the game (31 of 61), including 10-for-24 from three-point range. The Muskies also out-rebounded MSOE 42-25 and forced 24 Raider turnovers.

Leah Eisner (Jr.-Stevens Point, Wis.) scored 13 points and Becky Mayo (Sr.-Gladstone, Mich.) and Aimee Thrune (Jr.-Prairie du Sac, Wis.) both added 12 points as four players finished in double figures scoring. Mayo recorded a game-high 10 rebounds and Lexie Greenheck (Fr.-Oostburg, Wis.) added seven rebounds off the bench.

Lakeland received contributions from everyone, as 10 players scored in the first half alone. Paige Papineau (So.-Green Bay, Wis.) scored nine points and added three steals off the bench and Natalie Neitzel (Fr.-Theresa, Wis.) posted a game-high five steals.

Megan Kroll and Shannon Larson scored 13 points each to tie for game scoring honors for the Raiders, who dressed just eight players. Larson added nine rebounds and Kroll had four assists as MSOE dropped to 0-3 overall and 0-1 in the NAC.

Lakeland steps back out of conference for its next game Monday night against the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh at 7 p.m. at Woltzen Gymnasium.
