Terres completes season with two matches at NCAA Division III championships

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Lakeland College senior Eddie Terres (Escanaba, Mich.) finished his career on Friday by participating in two matches at the NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships.

Terres wrestled in one of the first matches of the day at 197 pounds and lost a 9-3 decision to Ricky Fisher of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. He then lost in the wrestleback bracket to Kyle Koser of Messiah (Pa.) College by fall in 1 minute, 49 seconds to end his season.

Terres was making his first trip to the Division III nationals. He was the 12th Lakeland wrestler in school history to qualify for the Division III nationals and the ninth different wrestler to accomplish the feat. It also marked the second straight year that the Muskies entered a qualifier at nationals. Mitchell Fucile (Jr.-Chilton, Wis.) advanced to the national championships a year ago.
