The Lakeland University women's basketball team faces a longtime nemesis when it hosts Concordia University Wisconsin Tuesday night at 7 p.m. at the Moose & Dona Woltzen Gymnasium.
The Muskies and Falcons have been meeting since both schools established their programs in the 1970s, and in recent years both have been competing for position at the top of the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference. Concordia has won 13 of the last 14 meetings in the series, but Lakeland's lone win in that stretch was a victory at CUW in the 2017 NACCÂ Tournament final, a victory that punched the Muskies' ticket to the NCAA Division III Tournament.

Lakeland (4-2 overall, 1-1 NACC) bounced back from two straight losses to defeat Benedictine 60-50 on Saturday, earning its first NACC win of the season.

Abby Nylund (
So.-Crystal Falls, Mich.) followed with a three-pointer and two free throws as the Muskies outscored Benedictine 12-2 to finish the contest. Will scored 18 points and
Miranda Jacobson (
Sr.-Felch, Mich.) added 13 points plus a career-high 15 rebounds as well as five assists.
Concordia (3-2 overall, 2-1 NACC) struggled badly its last time out, falling 57-33 at home to NACC favorite Wisconsin Lutheran on Saturday. Concordia made just 10 of 49 field goals, shooting 20.4% in the loss. Emily Hafemann scored 10 points to lead the Falcons, who also were 3-for-14 from three-point range and were outrebounded 44-27.
