The Lakeland University women's basketball team will face one of its toughest home tests on its Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference schedule when it hosts Edgewood College at 7 p.m. Thursday night at the Moose & Dona Woltzen Gymnasium.

The Muskies (14-3 overall, 10-2 NACC) will seek to avenge one of their two conference losses, which came way back on Thanksgiving weekend. The Eagles posted a 68-50 win at their home in Madison on Nov. 24, giving Lakeland its first loss in conference and first loss of the season.

The Muskies also lost their next time out at home against Carroll but have reeled off 11 wins in their last 12 games since. Most recently, Lakeland defeated Aurora 83-63 on Saturday, riding hot shooting to a convincing win on the road. Lakeland made 26 of 53 shots (49.1%) and tied a season high with 11 three-pointers. The Muskies also made 20 of 21 from the free throw line (95.2%). Janai' Farr (So.-Racine, Wis.) scored a career-high 16 points, Megan Will (So.-Lake Mills, Wis.) also scored 16 as four Lakeland players scored in double figures. 

Edgewood (11-7 overall, 8-5 NACC) also comes in off a win after defeating Concordia Chicago 63-45 Tuesday. The Eagles dominated almost from the start to complete a season sweep of the Cougars. Edgewood led 23-8 after one quarter, built a 42-19 halftime lead and led by as much as 31 in the second half. Alyssa Lemirande scored a career-high 21 points and the Eagles held Concordia to 30.9% shooting in winning their third straight game, all by at least 17 points.
