The teams split their two meetings last season, with both winning at home. Lakeland posted its last win over Benedictine with a 60-50 win here at the Moose & Dona Woltzen Gymnasium Dec. 1, 2018, as
Miranda Jacobson recorded a double-double with 13 points and a career-high 15 rebounds. The Eagles got their revenge a little over two months later in a 74-54 victory on Feb. 9, 2019.

Megan Will tied her career high with 15 rebounds, and

The Muskies came back from a 10-point deficit in the third quarter and from six points down with three minutes left in regulation to force the first overtime before prevailing in the second. Lakeland shot 47 free throws, including 12 in the second overtime when it outscored the Spartans 10-3.
Benedictine last time out: Defeated Illinois Tech 75-31 Tuesday
The Eagles claimed their 13th consecutive win overall and 24th straight at home with the win over Illinois Tech. About the Eagles: The Eagles are undefeated in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference, 20-2 overall, and receiving votes in the D3Hoops Top 25 poll. Alex Fanning is one of the top post players in the NACC, averaging a conference-leading 12.2 rebounds per game plus 2.8 blocks per game. The Eagles are improving on a solid 2018-19 season that saw the team finish second in the NACC standings but sit out the conference tournament after an attempted transition to NCAA Division II.Â
Recapping the first meeting: The Muskies were Benedictine's second NACC win of the season on Nov. 30, 2019, in Illinois. After scoring just two points in the first quarter and facing an early 17-point deficit, the Muskies came all the way back to take the lead late in the third quarter. Benedictine responded with a run of its own, though, and went on to victory.
Megan Will finished with 16 points and 10 rebounds for Lakeland, while Allison Michalski scored 20 points and added 13 rebounds for Benedictine.
