Lakeland University's Garret Hunt (Sr.-Corvallis, Mont.) has been named a National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) NCAA Division III Scholar All-American, as announced by the NWCA this week.

Hunt received the honor for the first time this year and is the seventh Lakeland wrestler to receive the award. He also is a new graduate from Lakeland, having completed his degree this spring with a major in business administration and a double minor in sales and psychology.

Hunt finished the season with a 4-6 record this season competing at 285 pounds for the Muskies. He was a two-year member of the men's wrestling team after playing baseball his first two years at Lakeland, and he tied for second on the team in wins in the abbreviated 2020-21 season.

A total of 413 individuals representing 84 institutions in NCAA Division III received the Scholar All-American award.
