Savannah Szalanski (
So.-Watertown, Wis.) shot her lowest round of the championship in the final round as the Lakeland University women's golf team closed out its fall season with the final round of the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Championship at Washington County Golf Course Sunday.
Szalanski finished with a score of 95 on the final day, the best of her four rounds in the tourney. She finished 41st individually with a four-round total of 404 strokes.
Szalanski's final round included a pair of birdies, as well as two pars. She shot birdie on the par-5, 433-yard sixth hole and also added a four on the par-5, 444-yard 16th hole. She shot 49 on the front nine holes and posted her best nine of the four days with a 46 on the back nine.
Emily Watanabe Graf also competed for Lakeland and finished with rounds of 193 and 204. She shot a pair of bogeys for her best hole scores, on the sixth and 16th holes.
Aurora University won the team championship with a final total of 1305, with Marian University coming in second (1373). Yinan Lu of Marian was the championship medalist with a four-round total of 310.
