EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – Evan Haferkorn (Fr.-Norway, Mich.) and Tyler Lovejoy (Sr.-Brandon, Wis.) were double-winners for the Lakeland University men's wrestling team as it competed in the 8 Man Battles hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Saturday.

Haferkorn went undefeated on the day with a pair of wins at 157 pounds. He pinned Ethan Struck of UW-Eau Claire in 4 minutes, 22 seconds in his first match, and then added another pin of Victor Perez Mesa in 2:39.

Lovejoy went 2-1 on the day at 184 lbs., also with a pair of pins. He took down Liam Speich of UW-Eau Claire in 2:08, and then defeated teammate Nidal Farah (Jr.-Ventura, Calif.) in his third match.

Farah was also part of a group of six Muskies in all to post at least one win on the day. Farah won a 3-1 decision over Speich at 184 lbs. in between a pair of losses in his other two matches.

Jesse Burg (Fr.-Cedar Grove, Wis.) split two matches at 133 lbs., including a 9-0 major decision over Ryan Goddard of UW-Eau Claire. Dillon Raab (Fr.-Spalding, Mich.) won his first match at 149 lbs., pinning Dom Myers-Foster of Augustana (Ill.) College in 1:13, and Bryan Romero (Fr.-Riverside, Calif.) won one of his four matches at 197 lbs. with a 23-6 technical fall victory over Luis Salazar of Buena Vista (Iowa) University.

The Muskies next compete at the MSOE Invite, to be held Dec. 2 in Milwaukee.
