RIPON, Wis. – Emma Ziepke (Fr.-Manawa, Wis.) set a new school record in the women's 800 meters, highlighting the Lakeland University men's and women's indoor track & field teams competing at the Dick Hendricks Invite hosted by Ripon College Saturday.

Ziepke finished 10th in the 800 in 2 minutes, 36.69 seconds, cutting more than six seconds off her previous personal record set a week earlier. She beat the previous record of 2:37.31 set by Nathalie Cairo in 2020.

Ziepke also posted the Muskies' other top individual finish on the day. She finished 10th in the 400, crossing in 1:06.18.

Eduardo Campuzano (Hinckley, Ill.) provided another highlight, finishing the men's mile in 5:15.87. The freshman cut nearly 30 seconds off his previous PR mile of 5:43.04.

Also establishing personal bests were Owen Luedtke (So.-Sheboygan Falls, Wis.) and Travis Eitel (Jr.-Pine Island, Minn.). Luedtke finished the men's 800 in 2:22.83, nearly eight seconds better than his previous best. Eitel ran the men's 200 in 25.74, cutting fifteen-hundredths off his previous best time.

Lakeland now gets ready for the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Indoor Championships, to be held at Ripon's Willmore Center Friday-Saturday, Feb. 24-25.
