RIPON, Wis. – The Lakeland University men's and women's track & field teams amassed three more indoor school records competing at the Dick Hendricks Invite hosted by Ripon College Saturday.
Travis Eitel (
Sr.-Pine Island, Minn.),
Kolby Cohen (
Jr.-Missouri City, Texas) and
Emily Guy (
Fr.-Glendale Heights, Ill.) all set standards in their respective events as part of the Muskies' performances at Ripon.
Eitel competed in the men's 60-meter hurdles and finished ninth with a time of 9.80 seconds. He broke his own school record of 10.18 set last year.
Cohen set a new school mark in the men's long jump and finished fourth individually with a best of 6.51 meters (21 feet, 4 1/2 inches). He broke the former record of 20-5 3/4 (6.24m) set by Jawon Turner in 2017.
Guy also set the Lakeland modern era indoor standard in the women's 60 hurdles. She finished 11th individually with a time of 10.93 seconds.
The Muskies also posted several more personal bests on the day, including sophomore
Emma Ziepke (
Manawa, Wis.) in the women's 400. Ziepke finished 11th with a time of 1:04.55, more than two seconds better than her time last week on the same track.
Parker Giese (
So.-West Bend, Wis.) also posted a PR in the men's 200 with a time of 26.17.
Gavin Pinchart (
Jr.-De Pere, Wis.) also set a new best in the men's 400 with a time of 58.12, more than two seconds better than his previous best.
Chloe Bartlett (
Fr.-Canton, Ill.) posted the best individual finish for the Muskies women's team, finishing ninth in the 200 with a time of 28.54. She also came in 10th in the lone jump, matching her school record mark set last week of 16 feet, 1/4 inch (4.88m). Bartlett, Guy, Ziepke and
Alondra Reyes (
Sr.-Milwaukee, Wis.) also competed in the 4 x 200 relay, finishing in 2:00.27.
Lakeland competes again this coming weekend in the UW-Oshkosh Titan Challenge in Oshkosh.
