NAPERVILLE, Ill. – The Lakeland University women's wrestling team wrapped up its season competing at the National Collegiate Women's Wrestling Championships Region IV tourney hosted by North Central College Sunday.

Six Muskies competed at regionals and three earned wins in their respective weight classes. Khalila Corry (So.-Shelby, N.C.) and Al Ghala Al Radi (Fr.-Niles, Ill.) both posted pins, including Corry defeating Teni Ajayi of Northern Michigan University by fall in 1 minute, 59 seconds in a consolation round match on the way to finishing sixth at 191 pounds.

Al Radi closed out her season with a win by fall over Olga Turiy of Aurora University in 1:22 to finish seventh at 143 lbs. Niyasia McCampbell (So.-Amarillo, Texas) also finished with a victory, defeating Jaiden Moody of Augustana (Ill.) College by technical fall to finish seventh at 155 lbs.

Mikayla Rieck (Sr.-Sheboygan, Wis.) also competed at 116 lbs. and finished 0-3, including a loss to Sharon Moreno of Aurora in the fifth-place match. After the match, Rieck placed her shoes in the middle of the mat, indicating her retirement from the sport.

Corry and Rieck both finished sixth in their classes for the top finish by a Muskie. The top four finishers in each weight class advanced to the NCWWC finals next month in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
