DUBUQUE, Iowa – Raynisha Sims (Sr.-Chicago, Ill.) won four times to finish third in her weight class as the Lakeland University women's wrestling team competed at the Loras College Women's Open Saturday morning.

Sims won her opening match at 131 pounds with a narrow decision win over Lexi Karls of the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point before falling in the quarterfinals. She came back with three straight wins to close her day, and in the third-place match pinned Elsie Triplett of UW-Stevens Point in 1 minute, 22 seconds.

Sims was one of four Muskies to earn wins on the day. Jalah Wilson (Fr.-Phoenix, Ill.) also won three times at 160 lbs., following up a narrow decision loss in her opening match with three consecutive victories including a pin of Maddie Rose of Cornell (Iowa) College in 2:51 plus a 6-4 decision over Sophia Paulson of UW-Stevens Point.

Aubrey Miller-Ramirez (Fr.-Griffith, Ind.) also won twice at 180 lbs., including a tech fall win over Ella Creighton of UW-Oshkosh in the quarterfinals and then a consolation semifinal pin of Natalie Gratschmayr of UW-Oshkosh in 29 seconds. Niyasia McCampbell (Sr.-Amarillo, Texas) also won twice at 207 lbs., defeating Lucy Read of Loras twice by technical fall.

Lakeland next is at the Quad Cities Division III Invitational in Moline, Ill., next Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 7-8.
