OSHKOSH, Wis. – The Lakeland University men's wrestling team ended another drought against a longtime opponent with a 26-14 dual win over the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Friday night on the road at the Kolf Sports Center.

One night after defeating Concordia University Wisconsin for the first time since 2017, the Muskies defeated the Titans in a dual for the first time since 2014. Lakeland is now 2-3 on duals this season and also has defeated CUW and UWO in the same season for the first time since 2014.

The Muskies never trailed in the match Friday night, winning the first three matches contested and six of the nine contested weights in all.

Wrestling opened at 157 pounds, and Dillon Raab (So.-Spalding, Mich.) won by technical fall over Jacob Hibbard by an 18-2 score in 6 minutes, 36 seconds. Evan Haferkorn (So.-Norway, Mich.) followed with a 15-2 major decision over Logan Andrews at 165 lbs., and Fulton Stroud (Fr.-Iron Mountain, Mich.) earned another tech fall win, defeating Kyle Rasper 17-2 at 174 lbs.

Diego Morales (So.-Cedar Grove, Wis.) earned the lone pin of the match, defeating Garth Martell in 6:59 at 285 lbs. to give Lakeland a 23-10 lead. With just three matches remaining, Nathan Schanen (Fr.-Muskego, Wis.) picked up the clinching victory with a 10-9 decision over J.P. Culver at 133 lbs., and Jesse Burg (So.-Cedar Rapids, Iowa) added a 2-0 decision over Brody Toledo at 149 lbs. in the final match.

The Muskies complete in another dual next when they host Aurora University next Friday at 6 p.m. at the Moose & Dona Woltzen Gymnasium.
