KOHLER, Wis. – The Lakeland University men's golf team shot its best team round of the tourney on the final day and moved up a spot in the standings to finish seventh at the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Men's Golf Championship held on the Meadow Valleys Course at Blackwolf Run.

The Muskies shot a team score of 311, their best round of the three-day, 54-hole event. Lakeland shot the sixth-best team score of the day and finished with a team score of 972 for the event.

The Muskies finished with a pair of golfers inside the top 25 individually led by Roger Sauvage (Seattle, Wash.). The senior shot a three-day score of 238 capped by a final round 77 on Monday to tie for 18th individually. Sauvage's round included a good finish with an even-par 36 on the back nine that included seven straight pars to finish as well as a birdie on the par-5, 514-yard 11th hole.

Brandon Bloechel (Jr.-Sheboygan, Wis.) tied for 24th individually with a final total of 241 also capped by his best score in the final round with a 76. Bloechel shot two-over par on both the front and back nine, and also birdied the par-5 11th hole.

Kaiden Dopp (Jr.-Wild Rose, Wis.) tied for 34th individually with a total of 246. After struggling on the first day he finished with rounds of 79 on Sunday and 78 on Monday, including shooting par over the final nine holes highlighted by a birdie on the par-4, 109-yard 14th hole.

Parker Braun (Jr.-Brillion, Wis.) tied for 41st individually with a total of 252 including a final round 80 that included 40 on both the front and back nine. Isaiah Gueths (Sr.-Marion, Wis.) was right behind Braun in 43rd with a total of 254 including best rounds of 84 on the first and third days.

Ayden Long (So.-Oostburg, Wis.) tied for 52nd with a total of 265 for the tourney, but finished with his best collegiate round with an 82 on Monday. Long's final round included a three-over 39 on the front nine and a total of nine pars in his round.
