Muskies get early start on track season with UW-Oshkosh Early Bird Open

OSHKOSH, Wis. – Morgan Caho (So.-Canton, Ill.) paced the team in sprinting and jumping events as the Lakeland University men's and women's indoor track & field teams opened their season with the Early Bird Open hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Saturday.

Caho came in 14th in the men's 60-meter dash with a time of 7.36 seconds. He also was 17th in the 200 with a time of 23.77.

Caho also placed 10th in the long jump with a mark of 5 feet, 8 3/4 inches (1.75 meters). Dunia Wangu (So.-Milwaukee, Wis.) also competed in the 60 and 200, finishing 18th in the 60 meters in 7.48 and 22nd in the 200 in 24.11.

Elise Brill (Fr.-Cedar Grove, Wis.) came in 12th in the women's mile event, finishing in 6:03.65. Kelsi Golden (Fr.-Milwaukee, Wis.) also was 18th in the women's 60 meters in 8.58.

The Muskies dive into the heart of their season starting Jan. 17 with the Carthage College Firebird First Invitational in Kenosha.
